This school was established in 1877 by Rev. William Jefferson White, with the Rev. Richard C. Coulter and the Rev. Edmund Turney. The official colors are maroon and old gold. Their mascot is the Maroon Tiger.

Housing options include 5 lower classman dorms and 6 upper classman dorms.
Some student organizations available are the Campus Alliance for Student Activities, Student Government Association, Morehouse ADODI, and the Cali Club.

Founded in 1867 as Augusta Institute, the school relocated to Atlanta in 1879 and after several name changes became Morehouse College in 1919.

Morehouse is the only all-male African American college in the United States.
