Baltimore, Maryland

This school was established in 1867 by the Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. It became a university on July 01, 1975. The official colors are blue and orange. Their mascot is Benny the Bear.

Housing options include 13 university managed residence halls, 9 of them being on campus. Each residence hall has a main area, vending machine, washers/dryers (at a cost), and in most residence halls, Academic Enrichment labs that are available for all student's respective academic needs. The main university dining facility is located in the new Thurgood Marshall Hall.
Some student organizations available are F.U.T.U.R.E. (Femles United to Uplift, Reshape, and Educate), NCNW (National Council for Negro Women), SOFE (Society of Future Educators), and Tau Sigma National Honor Society (Transfer Student Honor Society)

In 2016, the National Trust for Historic Preservation named Morgan State University a National Treasure.
