I’m passionate about making HBCUs accessible to students everywhere! As a proud 3rd-generation HBCU graduate, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s of Science in Educational Technology from Touro University. My academic journey has been deeply inspired by my family’s legacy of excellence at Historically Black Colleges and Universities—especially my grandmother, a Winston-Salem State University alumna who lived through the era of segregation and integration, earning multiple degrees and certifications. Also, both my parents and I attended Morgan State University.
I’m an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and I am dedicated to continuing the sorority’s mission of service to all mankind, particularly through initiatives that promote education, community engagement, and technology integration.
As an educator with multiple teaching certifications, I’ve taught elementary students and served as a school technology lead. I also completed the AmeriCorps Generation Teach Leadership Residency, where I focused on fostering success in both students and teachers. My experiences as a teacher and a mentor have fueled my desire to connect students with the unique opportunities and resources HBCUs provide.
Growing up in a family where education was a core value, I developed a love for community service and a commitment to representation. I created HBCU Anywhere to bridge the gap between students and the HBCU experience, ensuring access to information, history, and the vibrant culture that makes these institutions life-changing. Whether it’s through interactive lessons, multimedia tools, or outreach initiatives, my goal is to inspire the next generation of students to explore the rich opportunities HBCUs offer.
When I’m not working on HBCU Anywhere, you can find me baking specialty cakes, volunteering, or creating educational resources to help others achieve their goals. Thank you for being part of this journey to uplift and celebrate HBCUs everywhere!
